HANDING OF KERBS (for driveway transition kerbs - also known as tapers or rakers)

To work out if a kerb is a Left or Right hand kerb
you need to stand in the roadway - watch out for traffic! -and look at the pavement. The kerb on the left of the opening is a LEFT HAND one and will fall in height from L to R. The other is a right hand one and will rise in height from L to R. Of course if you are making a new drive it is easy as you just order a pair of rakers!
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL KERBS

If you are ordering an angle kerb or a radius kerb you need to know if it is an internal or external kerb.

To do this, visualise standing in the roadway, looking at the proposed kerbs. If their ends are facing towards you, then it is an INTERNAL kerb. And vice cersa if the ends face away from you.
