KERB HANDING 
 
Taper kerbs are handed LEFT or RIGHT. To identifty which you require, stand in the road (watch out for traffic!) and face the front of the kerb line. A LEFT hand taper kerb will have its higher side to the left of you, a RIGHT will have it's higher side to the right. 
 
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL Kerbs are identified in a similar way. Standing in the road (again - with care!) with the kerb face towards you (eg looking towards the pavement), if the two ends of the kerb face curve in towards you it is an INTERNAL radius kerb. If the two ends curve away from you it is an EXTERNAL radius kerb. 
 
The same applies to INTERNAL and EXTERNAL ANGLES - where the "wings" will come in towards you (INTERNAL) or away from you (EXTERNAL).
